Special Olympics was a big part of my childhood. My mom always volunteered and I was her little tag-along. As an adult I really appreciate that she showed me about giving back to others starting at a young age. It also doesn't have to cost you more than your time to put a smile on someone's face!
My mom passed away almost 4 years ago, but her life lessons will last my lifetime and generations to come.
